Who is Willow for?
Willow is for neurodivergent, anxious, or lonely boys and girls. We've noticed kids between the ages of 6 and 11 seem to like her best, though some older kids seem to really like her too.
How were experts involved in Willow's design?
We interviewed child psychologists, a play therapist, and executive function coaches to understand how they help neurodiverse children. Then, we read studies and literature from Adele Diamond, Dr. Becky, John Medina, and many others. We applied research to design Willow's functions. Finally, we worked with Sophia Ansari, Registered Play Therapist; and executive function coaches Seth Perler and Sean McCormick to design features specific to supporting children.
